Vegueros Centrogordos

As is well known, “Veguero” is the Spanish word for the tobacco farmer. Without him there would be no tobacco for cigars. His work is often hard and tedious. Because each one of the often over a hundred thousand plants on a plantation has to be checked and cared for more than 150 times during a growing season. The Vegueros brand is dedicated to these important workers who have been cultivating tobacco in Pinar del Rio for generations.
The brand has been on the market since 1996,
But it came onto the market in 2014 in a completely new form: with three new formats, launched for the first time, in a new, slightly lighter mix, with a fresh design and in innovative packaging. They are manufactured using the classic “totalmente a mano” method, which is still practiced exclusively in Cuba – completely by hand – in the “Francisco Donatién” factory in the heart of the Cuban tobacco center Pinar del Rio.
This followed in 2018
Vegueros Centrofinos a fourth format. Habanos S.A. now adds the brand includes another vitola: the Vegueros Centrogordos. The production name of the format that appeared for the first time is also “Centro Gordo”. With a length of 100 and a large ring gauge of 54, it offers a short and aromatic “short smoke”. The large ring gauge cools the smoke of the extremely pleasant, medium to strong mixture. It offers uncomplicated cigar enjoyment for a good half an hour.
